We have trade agreements and fares that don’t show up on public sites. With Costa, for example, our discount is added on top of the one you already have.

There’s one person behind this website

Altea Viaggi has been open in Carlentini, Sicily, since 2004. The core of it hasn’t changed: whoever walks in — or writes — talks directly to Marcello.

We’re not a booking portal. We’re a small-town agency that has spent twenty-two years learning one thing properly: listening to what someone actually wants, and building the right trip around it. A lot of the families travelling with us today were travelling with us ten years ago — now they bring their children.

If you want a site where you click «book» and disappear, this isn’t it. If you want someone who answers, it is.

The things you hope you’ll never need

Medical cover

Medical expenses, hospital stays, early repatriation. Outside Europe this isn’t a detail — it’s the difference between an inconvenience and a serious problem.

Cancellation cover

If a health problem stops you from travelling, you’re reimbursed. Seven out of ten of our clients take it — and the ones who don’t often wish they had.

Luggage and disruption

Bags that don’t arrive, delays, missed connections. There’s cover for all of it: we’ll tell you what’s genuinely worth having and what isn’t.

Questions we get a lot

How much does it cost to book through you?
Nothing. There is no agency fee: you pay for the trip and that’s it. We’re paid by the cruise line or tour operator, not by you.
Do I have to come to the office?
No. We arrange most trips over the phone and on WhatsApp, often with people we’ve never met. But if you’d like to drop by, we’re at Via Cavour 82, Carlentini.
I haven’t decided where to go yet. Can I still write?
That’s the best case. Just tell us when, who’s coming and roughly your budget — the proposals are our job.
Do you only do cruises?
No. Cruises are what we do most, but we arrange honeymoons, resorts, European city breaks, the United States, Asia and fully tailored trips. Even a single flight or hotel.
Can I pay in instalments?
On many packages yes, and with some operators the balance is due close to departure. It depends on the supplier — ask us and we’ll tell you exactly how it works for your trip.
What if something happens while I’m travelling?
You call us. The number stays on at weekends too, and we deal with the operator directly on your behalf.
Is my money safe?
Yes. We are a licensed travel agency with a tourism licence and liability insurance, and we’re members of the guarantee fund required by Article 50 of the Italian Tourism Code, which protects travellers in case of insolvency.
Do you organise group trips?
Yes — extended families, parish groups, companies and special occasions. The bigger the group, the more it pays to have it organised properly.
